Irish Aid Climate Learning Platform and 2016 Country Climate Action Reports

The Climate and Development Learning Platform has been developed to support Irish Aid and Partners better integrate climate change into development programming and to link practical country experience with international policy frameworks. Knowledge from country programming, case studies, research, policy and guidance notes, provide the space to share best practices and lessons learned in Climate, Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction programming, generating the evidence base to inform international policy engagements and future climate and development programming. The Climate Learning Platform can be accessed via www.climatelearningplatform.org

As part of the Climate Learning Platform, each year Irish Aid publishes Country Climate Action Reports for our eight key partner countries. These reports provide information on efforts across Irish Aid programmes to build resilience and combat the impacts of climate change, outline vulnerability to climate change and the climate policy context in country. Ireland was recently ranked second among developed countries for overall transparency in reporting Climate Finance, by a report published by ‘Adaptation Watch’ in November 2016.
